Betânia Sensini is a Brazilian illustrator and artist, currently living in Portugal with her husband and their two children.
She graduated in Fine Arts by the Armando Alvares Penteado Foundation (1997) and earned a Master Degree in Art History by the Paris-Sorbonne University (2006).
Betania's work is inspired by her children, the colors and shapes in nature, landscapes, flowers, animals and vintage books. She has lived in many different places like Brazil, Australia, France and Portugal, and her adventure travel experiences are also an important source of inspiration.
Betânia paints in watercolors, gouache, acrylics and ink, as well as digital media.
Her projects include illustrations for children's books, children's bedding, decor and toys as well as editorial, stationery and greeting cards.
She also teaches botanical illustration regularly in Porto.
